► Brief Description

Removing the High Voltage Capacitor Assembly

1. First prepare the tools: Phillips screwdriver, precision knife and Mylar tape;

2. Prepare the front work, lift the front panel assembly, upper housing assembly, system board, battery interconnection board and high-voltage charger assembly, and lift the capacitor assembly upwards from the chassis. (The capacitor assembly is still connected to the high voltage module assembly at this time.)

3. Lift the Mylar tape and open the high-voltage capacitor plastic isolator;

4. Use a resistor of approximately 5 kohm, 25 W to bleed excess voltage for 10-20 seconds. Measure the voltage across the capacitor terminals;

5. When the capacitor voltage is 0VDC, disconnect the inductor wire and capacitor terminal wire.

NOTE: This Zoll M Series Defibrillator Capacitor Assembly may contain lethal high voltage electricity, so be sure to completely discharge the high voltage capacitor before removing this part from the Zoll M Series Defibrillator. Also do not short-circuit the terminals of a capacitor.
